Sessay track widening 1942

Post by baxterwood »

This might be a very long shot but can anyone help at all.

I am looking for some photographs of Sessay station and the overbridge to the south other than those that have appeared on this forum before here; https://www.lner.info/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3623

Furthermore has anyone got any more detailed information regarding the dates, beginning and completion, of the track widening works during 1942 or can you point me in the right direction to find same?

Any help gratefully received,
Peter Whitaker

This book https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/York-Superce ... 7675.l2557 has lots of photos of the area plus track plans IIRC.

I used to have this video http://www.videoscene.co.uk/marsden-rail-2-pilmoor.html and I think it has some video shot at Sessay but not 100% certain.
The Search Engine at York NRM would be a useful place to ask.
