Chicago dose sound like a good name for a throughabread A3 locomotive though.

I was looking at Hornby R 3518 Gay Crusader Class A3 as a donor loco as i want the donor to be
in LNER livery and single chimny. But i find it as not got a coridor tender that i would require for my
project.. Who or where would be the best place to get if availble just top shell of tender from in LNER
livery.

What about Arthur as well, interesting choice of name for a loco, a new green engine running on hot air, still better
than calling one Boycott.

I missed the first name. Time for my sight test perhaps?

Was he Arthur, or an author, or some other......

No, but Fred Trueman would be better, if you don't name it after Arthur :D and
I agree we don't want another loco named after a simpering royal, one is bad enough.

If you are renaming an A3 in BR condition why not name it 'Great Northern' and renumber it to 60113? It would look better than the Thompson rebuild of 4470 and probably please some people as well. Or failing that rename the engine 'Solario' BR number 60104 the first A3 taken out of service and caniballised for parts to repair 'Felstead' badly damaged in a collision at Ardesley.

G'Day Gents.

Going on the advice of the last post, you could combine the names of the two engines, then you would have 'Solstead' :D
