Help wanted to id this locomotive

Post by strang steel »

I wonder if anyone could assist me in trying to identify the number of the locomotive in this photograph, please?

The photo was taken around 1951, and because of the company name on the building, I believe it to be at Bramford just outside Ipswich. The quality is not great, but I think it is an 0-4-4T and in addition to the '6' as a first number, it seems to have another '6' as the fourth number.

Thanks Mick.

In which case it must surely be 67269 because this loco moved from Starbeck to Cambridge in 1951. The others with a 6 as fourth number stayed in the NE until their withdrawal from service.
