Week 13 and no change really, she looks pretty much the same as last week.

Green Arrow has vanished from the museum and is no where to be seen (where's our trusty Trainee Fireman on this? Is she on the Great C*** Railway?)

in place of Green Arrow (the Super D is just outside the workshop now) we have a Network South East Liveried what looks like brake van (I dunno!) and the Teak Buffet car.

Other museum news is the walk way from the museum to the warehouse, where as it was roped off before, there are 2 sets (on either side) of the lift up, (crossing style) barriers. And The Scotsman display is coming on a pace, as you can see from the photo.

The NSE-liveried vehicle is a CCT (Closed Carriage Truck, I think that stands for).

CCT - yes, although "Closed" might be "Covered", or more likely, both were used.

There's an LNER CCT in the NRM in the Station area against one wall. Painted brown, 4 wheels, not articulated, but much longer than a 12t van.

Yes, think I saw it today, it doesn't say LNER on it, but has a note to return it to somewhere LNER.

CCTs (I think Richard's right - Covered Carriage Trucks) were designed with wide-opening end doors at both ends which allow road vehicles to be driven right through a train made of CCTs from a single end-loading facility. If you look at the picture which shows the relevant view of the CCT you can see that the lower portion is a full-width flap which folds downwards, bridging the gap over the couplings and buffing gear. I have a vague idea that some of these CCTs were used on Motorail services and were possibly, therefore, equipped with air brakes and higher speed running gear.

Looks more like a BR ex-GUV (General Utility Van) as it has bogies. The BR CCT was very similar in design but shorter with four wheels
