No Neill, it's a J50, possibly shunting the ex-works Pacific, which is not in steam.

Photo33304 Sceptre there is a seat back and a totem visible but i cant get enough resolution to identify the location. Sceptre was allocated to Heaton or Tweedmouth in BR days. I thought it might be on the Tweed valley line but cant id the location. The name on the seat back looks double barrelled and there might even be a prefix like St xxxxxx xxxxxx. The train could be a pigeon special.
Hi interested in the area served by 52D. also researching colliery wagonways from same area.

Merry Hampton (33284), I would also put this one as on the Down fast about a mile north of Potters Bar (see my post re 60102 and 60111 in 'A3s Pt.3' topic). The land around RedHall/Hatfield does not go quite so much lower than the railway as is visible left in the Merry Hampton pic.
Minoru (33291) I'm not sure, but something tells me this might just actually be on the Down, leaving Welwyn South tunnel.

J51/2 to be precise, didn't they have the longer bunkers over their J50 brethren? Seen here.

EDIT:

My apologies - that colour photo of St. Gatien is superb! Thank you for posting it :) I wonder if I can use the Hornby Brown Jack model coming out for St.Gatien...
