Just to continue the concrete theme, there's a concrete barge at the Boat Museum in Ellesmere Port in Cheshire.

Re: Ferro concrete ships
as you go into portsmouth on the motorwayas you pass over the bridge on the left hand side they is 2no part dismantled concrete that can just be seen at high tide that are reputed to made for the mullberry harbour, i dont know whether anyone is aware that portsmouth is in effect a island there is 3 no road bridges and 1no rail bridge which was originaly built as a drawbridge. and as portsmouth was heaverly defended on the seaward side the high ridge on the main land is also heavely fortifed all facing north over the downs

G'day Gents
Sorry to go off track a bit, but in the early 80's when driving into Portsmouth on the motorway, on the left hand side, there used to be an old submarine sitting in a dirty old creek-bed amid piles of other scrap, anyone know anything about it ??

Thanks for that 'Third Rail', thought there was a good chance that it had gone, it's been at least 25 years since I've seen it, so now a gunboat has taken it's place !!
No, I think most topics have been covered, EXCEPT---------females ! but I think that's because we come on here to get away from them, for a few minutes of peace!!!!!
